Excellence Award

Dr. Santosh Mani, the recipient of Dr. S. K. Somaiya Award for Excellence in Research by Somaiya Vidyavihar (2017) is an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Physics, K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering.
He has pursued the "Study of Thermo-Mechanical Properties of Liquid Crystal Elastomers" for his Ph.D work from the University of Mumbai. His research interest lies in Soft Condensed Materials, Polymers & Nanomaterials.
Dr Mani is associated with Somaiya Vidyavihar since 2002. Apart from his dedication towards teaching, he is also motivated towards carrying out research based projects. The following research publication of his were considered for the 2017 Research awards:
