Assistant Professor in Green & Sustainable Chemistry

Job Description

 

Qualification: A Ph.D in Chemistry with focus on Green & Sustainable Chemistry. Postdoctoral / Industry experience is highly desirable.

 

Required Experience: 

Experience : A demonstrated track record of research excellence and the potential to secure funding. Teaching experience at the university level (3-4 years) is preferred.

Publications: A solid publication record in high-impact journals within the field.

Research Grants: Individuals with record of funding received from govt agencies would be preferred.

Job Description:

Research

Develop and lead independent, externally funded research projects/programs in Green & Sustainable Chemistry.

Publish high-quality research in peer-reviewed journals and present findings at national and international conferences.

Collaborate with other faculty members, research institutions and industry partners on interdisciplinary projects.

Supervise and mentor postgraduate students, PhD fellows and research staff.

Teaching / Training

Develop new courses and curricula that reflect the latest advances in the field.

Impart training/teaching to industry professionals, postgraduate & PhD programs

Provide academic advising and mentorship to students, including supervising student research projects and theses.

Collaboration, Outreach and Administration

Participate in departmental, institute, and university committees and activities.

Engage in outreach activities to promote the Institute & Center’s mission and enhance its visibility.

Contribute to the development and implementation of institute policies and strategies.

Key Skills

Strong background in design of sustainable chemical products & processes

Proficiency in modern laboratory techniques and tools used in green chemistry practices & assessment

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
