- Abstract
Year 2020, the world came to a standstill due to the outbreak of the pandemic COVID-19. This study attempts to understand the purchase intention of urban Indian customers towards health insurance. This study was conducted through a mixed method, first qualitative to tap the perceptions of customers towards health insurance, further these insights were empirically tested to identify the influencing factors of purchase intention of health insurance. The results provide insights to the service providers and highlight the bright growth prospects in the health insurance industry. The study also provides insightful take away for the policy makers regarding their approach towards the health insurance policies.
