Thermal and Fluid Science

"Thermal-Fluid science is a branch of science that deals with thermal energy and fluid flow. Traditionally it involves a study of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics. Engineers frequently use thermal-fluid technologies to design safe and more efficient energy-related systems. Examples of systems based on thermal fluid technologies are refrigeration and air conditioning systems, Heat exchangers for different thermal system applications, energy and power generation devices for cars, airplanes, oil and gas facilities, power plants and renewable energy systems. Therefore, developing a good understanding of basic principles of thermal-fluid sciences has been an essential part of Mechanical engineering education. The department hosts a wide variety of research projects in this area. We welcome you to this challenging field, which offers exciting opportunities in the development of more efficient fuels and fuel systems, energy recovery devices, Design and Analysis of thermal systems, new energy sources, biomedical equipment, and other areas."
